Pilgrimage to San Cristobal hill

Every year during Holy Week, hundreds of people walk up San Cristobal hill to leave candles and offerings at the 14 crosses along the route that represent the number of times Jesus fell during the Stations of the Cross. Yet another spectacular representation of Peruvians’ strong faith that is especially evident during la Semana Santa.
