Election Day 2012

After an extremely close presidential race, President Barack Obama won a second term as the United States president. I spent the day running around Austin not only to photograph the excitement and anxiety in the air, but also because I craved to be a part of it. People’s energy (still reeling via momentum) was contagious and all I wanted to do was take pictures of history in the making. Because Travis County went blue, most were celebrating when news outlets began announcing that Obama was going to be the nation’s president for four more years. Whatever the future may hold, the night that fell upon Austin, Texas, looked victorious.
